The mons pubis is the soft tissue mound covering the pubic bone. Following major weight loss, pregnancy, or aging, this area can develop excess skin and fat that creates a prominent bulge under clothing — sometimes called "FUPA" colloquially. Mons pubis lift removes excess tissue and tightens remaining skin, often combined with simultaneous tummy tuck since the incisions can share an anatomical zone. The procedure uses an incision typically hidden in or just above the underwear line. Recovery is similar to tummy tuck — 2-3 weeks before light activity, 4-6 weeks before exercise — and most patients combine it with other procedures rather than doing it standalone.
