Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy uses concentrated platelets from your own blood to stimulate collagen production, accelerate healing, and promote hair follicle activity. A small blood draw is centrifuged to separate the plasma, which is then micro-needled or injected into the treatment area. Applications include facial rejuvenation (the "vampire facial"), hair loss (injected into the scalp), and joint recovery.
A blood draw of around 15–30 ml is taken, spun in a centrifuge for 10–15 minutes, and then the PRP is applied or injected. Facial PRP involves micro-needling across the treatment area — expect redness and mild swelling for 24–48 hours. Scalp PRP involves a grid of small injections; tenderness and minor swelling are normal for 1–2 days. Results build over 3–6 months and typically require 3 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart.
