Eyelash transplant is a surgical procedure where individual hair follicles (typically from the back of the scalp) are transplanted into the eyelid, providing permanent eyelash restoration. The procedure is most commonly performed for patients with sparse lashes from genetic causes, trauma, burns, prior surgery, or trichotillomania (compulsive hair-pulling). Each session transplants 30-50 follicles per upper lid; results are permanent but require trimming since transplanted hair grows like scalp hair, not naturally short like eyelashes.
