Each tray is worn for ~1-2 weeks before being replaced with the next, gradually moving teeth toward their planned final position. A complete treatment uses 20-50+ trays depending on case complexity.
Treatment begins with 3D scanning of the patient's teeth, after which orthodontic software generates the entire movement sequence. The orthodontist or dentist reviews and adjusts the treatment plan before manufacturing begins. Patients are advised to wear the aligners 22+ hours per day, removing them only for eating, drinking (other than water), and brushing. Treatment time varies from 6 months for minor corrections to 24+ months for complex cases — generally comparable to traditional braces.
