Earlobe repair addresses the most common ear-related concerns: torn or stretched piercings (from heavy earrings, accidents, or stretched lobes/gauges) and elongated earlobes from genetic factors or aging. The procedure is brief — typically 30-45 minutes per ear under local anesthesia — with sutures removed at 7-10 days.
For stretched piercings, the lobe is excised and reconstructed with a fresh closure that can be re-pierced after 6-8 weeks. Elongated earlobes are reshaped by removing a wedge of tissue and recontouring.
