Overview

A lip lift is a surgical procedure that shortens the distance between the base of the nose and the upper lip (the philtrum), increasing the visible vermilion (red part) of the upper lip and enhancing the cupid's bow definition.

Unlike lip fillers which add volume, a lip lift permanently reshapes the lip position for a more youthful, balanced appearance. Techniques include the Bullhorn lift (subnasal crescent excision), Corner lip lift (elevates the mouth corners), and Italian lip lift (two smaller incisions at the base of each nostril).
