Plasma fibroblast therapy uses a hand-held device that ionizes air to create a small electrical arc (plasma) at the device tip. The plasma creates precisely controlled micro-injuries on the skin surface, causing immediate skin contraction and triggering a collagen-remodeling response over the following months. The technology is particularly suited to small areas — eyelid skin, fine lines around the mouth, skin tags, age spots, and small areas of laxity.
For many patients with mild upper-eyelid laxity, plasma fibroblast offers a non-surgical alternative to blepharoplasty. The treatment leaves small black "carbon dots" on the skin that crust over for 5-7 days before flaking off naturally. Most patients require 1-3 sessions spaced 8-12 weeks apart, with results building over 3-6 months as collagen remodels. Best candidates have lighter skin tones (darker skin has higher hyperpigmentation risk).
