Thigh lift addresses skin laxity in the inner or outer thighs that remains after significant weight loss or develops with aging. Three main approaches exist: medial (inner thigh) lift with incision in the groin and along the inner thigh, vertical thighplasty for more severe laxity (incision runs from groin to knee), and outer thigh lift typically combined with body lift.
The procedure delivers reliably tighter, more contoured thighs but trades that for a permanent scar. Recovery is significant: 2-3 weeks of restricted movement, 4-6 weeks before exercise, and 3-6 months for full scar maturation. Liposuction is often combined for finer contour.
