Overview

Hairline lowering addresses a high or disproportionately large forehead. Two primary methods exist: surgical hairline advancement involves an incision at the existing hairline, pulling the scalp forward, and excising excess forehead skin — lowering by 1–3cm with a thin scar along the hairline. Hairline transplant uses FUE/DHI grafts to create a lower hairline without surgery, achieving 2–5cm of lowering with 1,500–3,000+ grafts.

This procedure is extremely popular in Korea where smaller foreheads are culturally preferred. It’s often combined with hair transplant for temple corner filling. Ideal forehead height is 5–6cm for women and 6–7cm for men, measured from the brow to the hairline at center.
