Overview

Eyebrow restoration includes two primary approaches: eyebrow transplant (permanent) and microblading (semi-permanent). Transplant involves 250–500 single-hair grafts per brow harvested from the scalp, each angled at 10–15° to mimic natural growth patterns. Hair changes direction along the brow — upward near the nose, crisscross at the center, and lateral-downward at the tail.

Microblading is a form of semi-permanent tattooing using a handheld blade to create hair-like strokes in the epidermis. It lasts 1–3 years and fades over time. Especially popular in Korea, where straight/soft-angled brows are preferred over Western high arches.
